slytherin head of house
How does one take control of the cunning and the ambitious? Mr. McLeod has managed to keep the snakes in line without that iron fist and steeled resolve that might typically be required of someone placed in charge of the lions. You could say he didn't have much work cut out for him in the first place with the House of green and silver keeping relatively well under the radar term after term. He must have been doing a bang up job considering the Chamber of Secrets hasn't been acting up again and we haven't heard any reported cases of Hufflepuffs gone missing. This may be the hallmark of success for any Slytherin Head of House and one can only imagine the pride Mcleod must have felt making it through another year like this. Not at all hard to approach, he made himself available for those placed in under his charge. While there have been rumours of Slytherins getting a free pass into the Forbidden Forest with his dual role as Groundskeeper, we'll have to leave them as just that, rumours, because none of them have been able to make it back with an acromantula's leg as yet. With the summer rolling around, he may very well enjoy the break from the dungeon dwellers of the castle but I'd bet my last sugar quill he'll miss 'em after a week.

If you want to find the Head Boy, I would suggest the Quidditch pitch, this sports lover adores brooms and flying and would probably be on a team if we had one. If he's not there he's either drawing or gracing the courtyards with his guitar playing. I managed to catch up with Colt on the pitch and flagged him down (literally) to get this interview, thankfully I managed to stay upright and not break my nose like I did when I first met Colt back when I was a little firstie! Join me to get the scoop on his year and his future plans.
1.) I really appreciate you meeting up with me and letting me have some of your time. Let's start this thing off shall we? What was your reaction when you found out you were Head Boy?
My reaction to when I found out I was head boy, I was shocked to say the least. I didn't think my head of house would pick me. I mean I wasn't a prim and proper student, I sometimes cause trouble I'll admit to that. My cousins teased me that's for sure but it was cool to wear the shiny badge.
2.) Do you think you lived up to the position?
Well, I'm still alive... I think I did the best I could . I mean no one else died in the process.
3.) This was a rather tough year for the school, how did it affect you?
Well I learned to avoid the dangerous places like the portal. I mean the children getting taken was tragic but it was their own fault. I'm not trying to be a hero or anything being a head boy, I just want to graduate with all of my limbs.
4.) Do you have any advice for future Head Boys?
If you question if something will kill you it probably will. It's Hogwarts. Also use the perks of the job like the prefect bathroom. It is an amazing place. Another tip is if you want to get out of a class just take any opportunity to bring that kid that always gets hurt to the hospital wing. Every year has one. You know the one. The unlucky first years.
5.) This is your last year here, what are your plans after leaving Hogwarts?
Not dying and not to go after monsters. I also do plan on possibly going into Magical Sports or be an Auror in the ministry.
6.) Do you think being Head Boy helped out at all with your future plans?
Oh yeah, it will help me give me more of a step up for becoming an Auror. It will make me stand out. Thanks Hogwarts for that.
7.) What is your favorite memory from Hogwarts?
I remember getting detention for starting a food fight with my partner in crime Mason Stevens. The Bloody Baron was very disappointed in me but I was just having a little fun.
8.) How do you feel about the Head Girl?
Well she is a strong case. I did push her buttons and give her a hard time like all we Slytherins do, but we can handle each other.
9.) We are almost done! Hmm how about.. What is your favorite food?
Interesting change of topic, I do love food. Hmm my favorite? I would have to say the classic New York pizza where my hometown is. My close second is mac and cheese.
10.) And last but not least! Who is your favorite Professor?
My favorite professor would have to be Professor Hirsch. I love learning about the Dark Arts. He made it fun with the dueling club.

Natalia Franks-Mundie is a fairly recent transfer to Hogwarts, coming here in her fourth year from the land down Under. Despite that, she has been a force at Hogwarts ever since she got here. The talented, driven and sometimes blunt Slytherin has aspirations of being a singer and already has formed a band with some of her friends named The Sirens. (They played at the Piffy reception if you remember.) She has already been accepted into WADA to study music. I caught up with the busy Head Girl recently to discuss her year and her plans for the future.
1.) I really appreciate you meeting up with me and letting me have some of your time. Let's start this thing off shall we? What was your reaction when you found out you were Head Girl?
My reaction? Well, shock really. I mean I had only come to Hogwarts my fourth term so I wasn't here all seven so getting this honor to be Head Girl was amazing and very shocking.
2.) Do you think you lived up to the Position?
I did my best. I know some don't think I did and that's fine. I am leaving knowing I did everything possible to be a leader to this school and I have no regrets at this moment.
3.) This was a rather tough year for the school, how did it affect you?
It was awful, the portal was stressful and the missing students both times was tough. I think it made me aware of how short life could possibly be and made me appreciate more, but also it proved my strength and my want to help others.
4.) Do you have any advice for future Head Girls?
Be yourself, don't listen to people that want to bring you down. Show you are a leader in your own ways and just have fun.
5.) This is your last year here, what are your plans after leaving Hogwarts?
I got into WADA, so I'll be going there and working part time. The Sirens are going to be working on an independent album thanks to a few great people so that will be keeping me busy as well.
6.) Do you think being Head Girl helped out at all with your future plans?
I think it has helped me grown in my confidence, though I think some of the professors here helped that more than a badge. I'll take those experiences with me as I move into being a leader to the band and when I jump into new experiences at WADA.
7.) What is your favorite memory from Hogwarts?
There are so many it's hard to pick just one. Right now the one jumping out at me would be winning my first duel. I never thought I'd ever be good at dueling and I worked really hard and Professor Hirsch helped me by giving me extra lessons and so when I did it I was shocked, but so excited.
8.) How do you feel about the Head Boy?
Oh, well.... Colt is opinionated, full of himself, and just an overall not nice person. There was no secret this term that him and I weren't very good friends if friends at all. I did try to hex him in the stables for him calling me ugly.
9.) We are almost done! Hmm how about.. What is your favorite food?
Sushi, I love sushi.
10.) And last but not least! Who is your favorite professor?
I like and respect all the professors, but if I had to pick just one it would have to be Professor Hirsch for all the extra time he did spend with me. He worked really hard to help me the last four terms. I was a bit behind when I first came to Hogwarts, because of his help I caught up and now confident in my magic. Though he isn't a Professor Healer Reed would be right up there as well. He has really helped this term with many hard times and kept encouraging me even when I was ready to hand in my badge and give up.
